Corvids

I’ve long felt a connection to Corvids; the crows that drove my grandfather crazy, the fearless Stellar Jays playing in Agoura scrub, the huge ravens around Seattle, at least in some part because it’s flattering to associate with something so obviously smarter than they have to be.

I shot these one afternoon at Ocean Beach with the gh5 and the 12-60 lens and processed them in Lightroom as if they were printed on Ilford 400 paper, which was my favorite paper back in the day. It isn’t quite as I remember it, but I like the result all the same.

The layout is another pass at implying some motion and relationship between the shots using a grid structure because clearly I can’t help myself. I’m kind of pushing it with a 5 second cycle time, so that may change.

And yeah, that’s me at the end.
